The former Manchester United man has started four games in a row.

Liam Grimshaw will be happy if his versatility can secure him regular football even if it might not be in his natural position.

The midfielder played at wing-back in last weekend's 3-0 win over Aberdeen as Chris Cadden began a four-month lay-off with a knee injury.

The former Manchester United and Preston player has now started four games in a row after making only three appearances in the previous three months, and is eager to enjoy a lengthy run in the team.

"I'm really happy, it's good to be back in the team and playing regular football," the 23-year-old said. "It can only help: the more games you play, the more confident you get.

"I think it does work in your favour sometimes if you can play in more than one position, because if people get injured you can slot in there. Maybe other times it doesn't help because you can't pin down one position. But I don't mind because I will play anywhere for the team."

Grimshaw's spell in the starting line-up has yielded three victories and Motherwell are determined to maintain that improvement when they face Livingston at the Tony Macaroni Arena on Saturday.

Grimshaw said: "We started a bit slow but I think we are going to kick on now, like we have done in the past few weeks."
