Millwall have reportedly maintained their stance that Jake Cooper will not be sold during the summer transfer window.
New Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has identified Cooper as his first-choice defensive target ahead of the new campaign, with the Liverpool legend looking to put together a squad capable of challenging Celtic for the Scottish Premiership title.
However, according to Sky Sports News, Millwall have not shown any signs of being open to doing business for the 23-year-old in the coming weeks.
Cooper played a leading role in Millwall's bid for the Championship playoffs during the most recent campaign, with the Lions just falling short of a spot in the top six in the standings.
Rangers could potentially persist with their interest, but Millwall remain in a strong position as Cooper still has two years remaining on his contract.
