Middlesbrough have confirmed that they have reached an agreement to sign defender Alex Baptiste.
The 29-year-old, who has been without a club following his release from Bolton Wanderers, trained with Boro for the first time on Monday afternoon.
He will now sign a three-year contract with the Championship outfit, who failed to win promotion to the Premier League after losing in the playoff final last season.
Baptiste spent most of the last campaign on loan at Blackburn Rovers, while he has also enjoyed spells at Blackpool and Mansfield Town.
