Middlesbrough manager Aitor Karanka has said that his side are on the right track following their 2-0 victory over Bournemouth at the Riverside this afternoon.
Goals from Gaston Ramirez and Stewart Downing saw Boro end a seven-match winless streak to pick up just their second victory of the season and climb up to 14th in the table.
Karanka insists that he saw signs of that victory in his side's recent outings and urged the players to use the win as a platform for the rest of the season.
"Our last three games have been really good and we had to show everybody we could compete, especially at home," he told reporters.
"With this performance and commitment of everybody, I think we are going the right way. The team showed we are really good when we are together. Once again we showed we have a clear plan and we have to keep going."
Boro's next match comes away to league leaders Manchester City next Saturday.
