Andre-Pierre Gignac has professed his love of Marseille, stating that he sees no reason to leave the Stade Velodrome anytime soon.
The French international joined Les Phoceens from Toulouse in 2010, but has at times struggled to live up to his €18m (£15.4m) transfer fee.
However, the season just gone was his best in a Marseille shirt, as he finished with 13 goals in 27 starts in Ligue 1.
He said that that has helped banish the memories of a disastrous campaign last year, when he struggled with injury and was used mainly from the bench.
"It has been my best season since I was in Toulouse," Sky Sports News quotes the 27-year-old as saying. "I got my revenge on last season.
"I cannot see why I could leave and where I could find a better place in France. Nowadays I feel very well in the club of my heart.
"I am sure the club will make needed efforts to get reinforcements and to end in top three next season."
Gignac has scored four goals in 16 appearances for Les Bleus.
