Manchester United are reportedly hoping to announce Leny Yoro's arrival from Lille by the end of play on Friday.
The 18-year-old travelled to Manchester on Wednesday for his medical with the 20-time English champions, and the first part of the examinations have allegedly already taken place.
Man United are now working to finalise a deal for the teenager, and according to the Daily Mail, the club are expecting to be able to announce his move from Lille by Friday night.
The report claims that Yoro has already come to an agreement with Man United over a five-year contract, plus the option of a 12-month extension, and the deal will therefore move quickly once the teenager has completed all of the tests required.
Real Madrid have also been heavily linked with Yoro this summer, and it had been thought that the Frenchman would turn down a move to Man United in hope of making a switch to the La Liga and European champions.

Man United 'set' to announce Yoro deal by Friday night
However, it is understood that Yoro signalled on Tuesday night that he wanted to move to Old Trafford, and the Red Devils booked a medical on Wednesday in order to avoid a last-minute hijack.
There have been contrasting reports over the exact fee for Yoro, but it is believed that Man United will pay an initial €50m (£42m) for the teenager, although the deal could eventually rise to €62m (£52m) if various add-ons are met.
The centre-back's contract at Lille is due to expire next summer, and it is understood that the French outfit have been pushing for him to move to Old Trafford.
Real Madrid are only believed to have offered €25m (£21m) in the current window and had also been hopeful of agreeing a switch on a free transfer next summer if a fee could not be agreed.

What will Yoro bring to Man United?
Yoro is, of course, unproven outside of the French league, but his performances as a teenager have led to a host of attention.
The centre-back has already made 60 first-team appearances for Lille, including 44 outings during the 2023-24 campaign, and a number of major clubs in European football are said to have been interested in signing him.
Yoro is being tipped to become one of the best defenders in world football in the coming years, and he appears to have the physicality to compete in the Premier League, standing at 6ft 3in and also boasting impressive pace.
Man United opened up their summer spending with a deal for Joshua Zirkzee, and Yoro is now expected to become the club's second acquisition of the market in the next 24 hours or so.
However, the defender is unlikely to be signed in time to feature in the club's second friendly of the summer, which comes against Scottish giants Rangers on Saturday afternoon.
