West Ham United are reportedly planning an ambitious bid to bring either Anthony Martial or Marcus Rashford to the club on loan in January.
The Hammers are in the market for a striker when the window reopens next month having seen Andy Carroll, Diafra Sakho, Simone Zaza, Andre Ayew, Ashley Fletcher and Jonathan Calleri score just two league goals between them so far this season.
Michy Batshuayi was thought to be top of Slaven Bilic's wanted list, but Chelsea are understood to be unwilling to let the striker leave for their London rivals.
Liverpool's Daniel Sturridge is also on West Ham's radar, but The Telegraph claims that Manchester United duo Martial and Rashford have been identified as possible targets too.
Both players have fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford this season, making 15 Premier League starts and scoring just four goals between them so far.
Martial had been linked with a swap deal to West Ham in January, with compatriot Dimitri Payet moving in the opposite direction, but a loan move is considered to be more realistic for the capital outfit.
However, it is unclear whether United boss Jose Mourinho would be willing to let one of the strikers go with his side having struggled for goals so far this season.
