Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has refused to discuss the future of goalkeeper David de Gea amid reports that the Spaniard is wanted by Real Madrid.
The 24-year-old comes to the end of his contract in 18 months' time and it is believed that United will offer him a new five-year deal.
Following the shot-stopper's man-of-the-match performance in the Red Devils' 3-0 win over Liverpool on Sunday, Van Gaal was asked about the Spaniard's future.
"I don't think you need to be acquainted with those types of things," Van Gaal told reporters. "That is between club and player and not open to discussion with the media."
De Gea joined United from Atletico Madrid in 2011 and has gone on to cement his spot as the team's number one.
