Reece Brown joins Coventry on loan

Manchester United youngster Reece Brown joins Coventry City on a season-long loan.

Coventry have secured a season-long loan deal for highly-rated Manchester United defender Reece Brown.

The 20-year-old becomes the Sky Blues' seventh signing this summer, arriving just 24 hours after Derby striker Callum Ball, who also sealed a season-long move.

Brown, who is the younger brother of Sunderland's Wes Brown, will join up with his new team mates next week. Coventry boss Andy Thorn expressed his delight in bringing the starlet to the Ricoh Arena.

"This is another really good signing for us. Reece is a massive talent and we are delighted to be able to bring him here for the season," said Thorn.

"At 6ft 3in, he's big and athletic and can play at the back and in midfield which is a big plus for us.

"This another important signing for the club in what has been a busy summer."

The versatile youngster has previously enjoyed loan spells with Bradford, Doncaster and Oldham.
