Manchester United have scouted Borussia Dortmund midfielder Mario Goetze, according to the The Express.
Sir Alex Ferguson sent his scouting team to watch the 19-year-old appear for Germany against Brazil last week, a game in which Goetze scored.
United have decided to pursue the attacker after failing to meet Inter Milan playmaker Wesley Sneijder's wage demands.
Goetze has reportedly been the subject of interest for Barcelona and Real Madrid in the past and Dortmund will demand £20m for their player.
