Manchester United 'to hand Jesse Lingard pay rise'

Manchester United are reportedly ready to offer a pay rise to midfield star Jesse Lingard.

Manchester United are reportedly willing to offer Jesse Lingard a pay rise to reward him for his good form this season.

The Red Devils are prepared to bump the England international's wages up from £85,000 per week to £100,000 per week, according to The Sun.

Lingard has racked up 13 goals and six assists for United this season, and the Old Trafford hierarchy are said to be keen to acknowledge his contributions with an improved contract.

The midfielder entered a four-year deal with Jose Mourinho's side 12 months ago.

United are currently in second place in the Premier League table, in good stead to claim the runners-up spot.
