Manchester United target Everton Ribeiro plays down move

Reported Manchester United target Everton Ribeiro plays down talk of a January move away from Brazil.

Reported Manchester United target Everton Ribeiro has insisted that talk of him moving in January is just "speculation".

Ribeiro, who claimed the award for best player in the Brazilian top flight last season, has attracted plenty of attention across Europe after his impressive performances.

The 24-year-old, who has previously expressed an interest in joining the Premier League champions, has now played down talk of a move happening in January.

"There is a lot of speculation but for now I am just enjoying my vacations," Ribeiro told Globe Esporte.

"I'll present myself at Cruzeiro on January 6 to have a good pre-season and another great year at Cruzeiro.

"I don't know what will happen after Libertadores. Football is very dynamic, I'll do like I did this year. step by step."

Ribeiro joined Cruzeiro from Coritiba in 2012.
