Axel Tuanzebe will reportedly leave Manchester United on loan during this summer's transfer window.

Manchester United will reportedly allow Axel Tuanzebe to leave the club on loan for the 2021-22 campaign.

The 23-year-old made 19 appearances for the Red Devils last season but just nine of those came in the Premier League, and he is behind the likes of Victor Lindelof, Eric Bailly and Harry Maguire in the pecking order when it comes to the centre-back positions.

The 20-time English champions also continue to be linked with Real Madrid's Raphael Varane, and the Frenchman's possible arrival would push Tuanzebe further out of contention.

According to English journalist Jonathan Shrager, the defender will be leaving Old Trafford on loan during this summer's transfer window.

Shrager, writing on his personal Twitter account, claims that a number of Premier League and foreign clubs are interested in signing Tuanzebe on a short-term basis.

The Man United academy product started his side's final two league matches of the 2020-21 campaign but was overlooked for a starting role against Villarreal in the Europa League final despite Maguire's absence.
