RB Leipzig centre-forward Timo Werner is reportedly prepared to wait another 12 months to join Liverpool.
The Germany international has been strongly linked with a switch to Anfield over the last few months, but the financial impact of the coronavirus outbreak has seemingly put the move in doubt.
Manchester United and Chelsea have also been credited with an interest in the 24-year-old, who has scored 27 times and registered 12 assists in 36 appearances this season.
However, according to The Athletic, Werner is only interested in joining Liverpool and is prepared to spend the 2020-21 campaign with Leipzig before potentially arriving on Merseyside next summer.
The report claims that Werner's current release clause is £54m, but the figure will drop to £36m next summer despite the German having a contract with his Bundesliga club until June 2023.
The striker has netted 21 times in 25 Bundesliga appearances during the current season.
