Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly expressed their interest in signing Manchester United forward Anthony Martial.
The Red Devils are understood to be planning the 25-year-old's sale this summer in order to build up funds for their transfer budget.
According to the Daily Star, United have placed a £50m price tag on Martial and Spurs are keen to match this valuation and enter negotiations.
The report also states, however, that the Frenchman's £250,000-a-week wages could be a stumbling block and Tottenham have no intention of making the forward the club's highest earner.
United could potentially use Martial in a player-plus-cash offer to sign Spurs talisman Harry Kane, though chairman Daniel Levy is unlikely to entertain such a proposal.
Martial, who still has three years remaining on his current contract, has made 258 appearances for the Red Devils since joining the club from Monaco in 2015, scoring 78 goals and providing 50 assists.
