Graham Roberts believes that Luka Modric is certain to leave Tottenham Hotspur and that the club have targeted Joaoa Moutinho as his replacement.

Luka Modric is certain to leave Tottenham Hotspur this summer, according to former defender Graham Roberts.

Modric has been linked with a move away from White Hart Lane for roughly a year now, after Chelsea came close to buying the Croat during last summer's transfer window.

However, this time around Roberts is sure that the playmaker will be on his way out of the club.

"Modric [leaving] is an absolute certainty," said Roberts.

"If it's not [to join] Real Madrid then it may be Manchester United.

"Modric will be sold and [Joao] Moutinho is the one that they're very keen on bringing in. He played very well in the Euros so hopefully it's one-for-one and we end up with a few pounds in the bank."

Modric joined Spurs in 2008 for a fee of £16m.
