Graham Roberts feels that Rafael van der Vaart is likely to stay at Tottenham Hotspur.

Former Tottenham Hotspur defender Graham Roberts believes that Rafael van der Vaart wants to stay at the club.

The Dutchman has been linked with a move to the Budesliga, with old club Hamburger SV and Schalke 04 both reportedly interested in the player.

However, Roberts claims that the midfielder wants to remain at White Hart Lane for the next campaign.

Roberts told the Transfer Tavern: "People that I know are saying that the chairman has had a chat with Van der Vaart and he's very happy to stay and he wants to stay at the club."

Van der Vaart has previously indicated Bild that he wants to stay at the club.
