Report: Manchester United sent scouts to watch Juan Bernat

A report claims that Manchester United want to sign Valencia left-back Juan Bernat.

Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Valencia left-back Juan Bernat.

The 21-year-old, who can also operate on the left of midfield, has been one of La Liga's standout performers this season.

According to Super Deporte, the Premier League champions had scouts in attendance for Valencia's 1-1 draw with Athletic Bilbao at the weekend, with Bernat the prime focus.

While Valencia are keen to keep Bernat, it is understood that they would be prepared to accept a big-money offer with the youngster's contract due to expire at the end of next season.

United are expected to lose the services of current first-choice Patrice Evra at the end of the season.
