Report: David Moyes remains keen on Danny Ings

Real Sociedad head coach David Moyes is reportedly still hoping to sign Burnley striker Danny Ings on a free transfer.

David Moyes is reportedly still eager to convince Danny Ings to join his Real Sociedad side this summer.

The England Under-21 international is expected to leave relegated Burnley in June when his contract at Turf Moor expires.

It was reported earlier this year that Moyes had made contact with Ings's agent, but speculation has since suggested that both Liverpool and Manchester United have joined the race for the 22-year-old's services.

However, according to Spanish publication Sport, Moyes has not given up hope of signing the forward, who scored the only goal of the game as the Clarets beat Hull City on Saturday.

Speaking after his Sociedad team had been defeated 2-0 by Barcelona at the Camp Nou last night, Moyes admitted that he needed to add some firepower to his squad.

"What we miss more than anything is goals - creating goals as well - and we need to add that," the Scot told reporters.

Ings has scored 10 goals in the Premier League this term.
