Report: Real Madrid refuse to sell Sergio Ramos to Manchester United

Real Madrid reportedly refuse to sell Sergio Ramos, who has a €200m (£143.5m) buyout clause, to Manchester United.

Real Madrid reportedly have no intention of opening negotiations with Manchester United regarding the possible sale of Sergio Ramos.

The Spaniard is believed to be unhappy with his contract situation at the Bernabeu, which has sparked reports that United will try to lure the defender to the Premier League.

The North-West outfit could lose goalkeeper David de Gea to the La Liga side this summer, but according to Spanish journalist Guillem Balague, Madrid have refused to open talks about Ramos's availability.

Balague told Sky Sports News that United will need to stump up €200m (£143.5m) to activate the defender's buyout clause and the player himself wants to stay at Madrid, but feels that he deserves a better contract.

Ramos joined Real from Sevilla in 2005.
