Everton manager Roberto Martinez is reportedly prepared to offer Jonny Evans a route out of Manchester United.
Injuries and suspensions, as well as competition from Phil Jones, Chris Smalling, Marcos Rojo and Paddy McNair, have limited centre-back Evans to just 17 appearances this season.
It has also been reported that Louis van Gaal is eager to add at least one more central defender to his squad this summer, which has resulted in speculation that the Northern Ireland international will be made available for transfer.
That has captured the attention of Toffees boss Martinez, who is looking to bolster his defensive options ahead of the 2015-16 campaign, according to The Mirror.
The report adds that Everton may be required to part with up to £10m to sign the three-time Premier League winner.
