Report: Chelsea lead Arda Turan race

A report claims that Turkish international Arda Turan wants to swap Atletico Madrid for Chelsea this summer.

Chelsea are reportedly the favourites to sign Turkish international Arda Turan from Atletico Madrid this summer.

The 28-year-old is widely expected to leave Madrid this month, with his agent recently revealing that a decision will be made before the end of this week.

Barcelona, Manchester United and AC Milan have all been credited with an interest in Turan, but according to the Daily Mail, Chelsea have made the strongest move for the experienced midfielder.

It is understood that Chelsea have submitted an offer just shy of £30m, and Atletico are said to be prepared to do business after learning of the Turk's desire to leave.

Turan, who has made 81 appearances for his country since 2006, joined Atletico from Galatasaray in 2011.
