Report: Bayern Munich want Raphael Varane

A report claims that Bayern Munich want to sign Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane.

Bayern Munich are reportedly interested in signing Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane this summer.

The Frenchman is widely regarded as one of the best young centre-backs in European football, but he has been forced to play second fiddle to Sergio Ramos and Pepe at the Bernabeu over the last couple of seasons.

Manchester United and Chelsea have been strongly linked with the 21-year-old, who joined Los Blancos from Lens in 2011.

However, according to Marca, Bayern have now entered the race and are preparing a £32m offer.

Bayern boss Pep Guardiola has reportedly already spoken to Varane's agent Jorge Mendes.
