Sergio Reguilon 'prefers Sevilla return to Manchester United move'

Real Madrid defender Sergio Reguilon would reportedly prefer to return to Sevilla rather than make the switch to Manchester United.

Manchester United have reportedly been dealt a blow in the race to sign Real Madrid defender Sergio Reguilon.

Despite his impressive loan spell at Sevilla, the left-back has failed to move up the pecking order at the Bernabeu, resulting in Los Blancos being open to a sale.

That has led to interest from United, who are allegedly prepared to pay in the region of £25m for the Spaniard.

However, according to Marca, Reguilon is giving serious consideration to spending a second temporary spell with his most recent club.

The report suggests that the 23-year-old still has ambitions to break into the Real Madrid first team, something which would be lost if he signed a long-term contract at Old Trafford without the La Liga champions possessing a buy-back clause.

Reguilon made 38 appearances in all competitions last season, helping Sevilla win the Europa League.
