Real Madrid pessimistic over chances of signing Manchester United's Paul Pogba?

Real Madrid are reportedly left pessimistic regarding their chances of completing a summer deal for Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba.

Real Madrid are reportedly pessimistic about their chances of signing Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba.

The Spanish giants have been linked with a move for the 26-year-old since the start of the year, and head coach Zinedine Zidane is known to be an admirer of the player.

However, it has recently been suggested that Ajax's Donny van de Beek is also on Real's radar, with the Netherlands international potentially being available for £60m.

According to the Daily Mail, that stance has been taken due to Real now feeling pessimistic over their chances of completing a deal for Pogba due to the player's valuation and wage demands.

The report claims that Real are not prepared to pay in the region of £150m to add the World Cup winner to their first-team squad.

Pogba has just over two years remaining on his contract, meaning that the France international could be available for less next summer.
