Real Madrid are reportedly not interested in signing their former star Cristiano Ronaldo.
Following an explosive interview with Piers Morgan, where Ronaldo criticised different aspects of Manchester United, the 37-year-old looks set to leave Old Trafford in January.
While the likes of Chelsea and Sporting Lisbon have all been linked, Ronaldo is reportedly open to the idea of returning to Real Madrid, where he is the club's record goalscorer with 450 strikes in 438 appearances.
However, according to The Mirror, Real Madrid are not expected to sign Ronaldo or any other striker in the January transfer window despite the fact that their talisman Karim Benzema was forced to pull out of the World Cup through injury.
Although a return to the Santiago Bernabeu seems to be unlikely, Ronaldo's agent Jorge Mendes is believed to be working on negotiating an exit from Man United.
Ronaldo is currently preparing for the World Cup in Qatar, and he is expected to feature in Portugal's opening game against Ghana on Thursday.
