Manchester United have reportedly decided to open discussions with Marcus Rashford regarding a new contract.
Rashford has come through the academy setup at Old Trafford to establish himself as a key member of the first-team squad, but the 21-year-old currently has less than 18 months left on his deal.
United hold an option to extend that by a further 12 months, but interest from abroad will force the Premier League side to start negotiations with the England international.
According to The Telegraph, United are keen to show Rashford that he is regarded as an integral part of the club's future and that they will hand the youngster a significant pay-rise.
Rashford has contributed six goals and an assist from 10 appearances since the appointment of caretaker boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
