Manchester United interim head coach Ralf Rangnick has said that 10 new players could move to Old Trafford during this summer's transfer window as part of a rebuild.
The Red Devils suffered a 4-0 defeat to Liverpool in the Premier League on Tuesday, which has left them in sixth position in the table, three points behind fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur.
A number of players are set to leave the 20-time English champions on free transfers this summer, while Erik ten Hag, who is widely expected to become the club's new manager, is likely to be given money to spend.
Rangnick, speaking after the heavy defeat at Anfield, claimed that as many as 10 new players could move to Old Trafford in the upcoming market.
"There will be a rebuild for sure but that does not help us when we still have five games to play," Rangnick told Sky Sports News.
"If you analyse the situation it is not difficult to analyse. For me, it is clear there will be six, seven, eight, maybe ten new players. Before you sign those players you need to be aware how you want to play."
Ten Hag is believed to be keen to bring Antony with him from Ajax, while RB Leipzig's Christopher Nkunku, Villarreal's Pau Torres and Leeds United's Kalvin Phillips are among the players currently being strongly linked with moves to the club.
However, much of their business could depend on whether Rangnick is able to lead the team to a top-four finish, with the Red Devils now facing crucial fixtures against Arsenal and Chelsea.
