Sergio Ramos 'has no Manchester United regrets'

Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos insists that he 'does not regret' turning down the chance to join Manchester United last summer.

Sergio Ramos has insisted that he 'does not regret' turning down Manchester United last summer.

The Spanish centre-back was strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford before the start of the season, but remained at Real Madrid and was made captain of the Spanish giants.

This weekend, the 30-year-old will lead his side into the 2016 Champions League final, and Ramos has said that 'it was good' that he turned down the chance to move to the Premier League.

"It's good I didn't go to Manchester. These are moments that have already happened, decisions that are fortunately taken for the best. The balance is clearly on one side so I'm proud to be here for many more years," Ramos told El Laguero.

Ramos joined Real Madrid from Sevilla in 2005 and has won three La Liga titles, two Copa del Rey crowns and one Champions League during his time at the Bernabeu.
