Manchester United have enquired about PSV Eindhoven winger Memphis Depay, according to the Dutch club's technical manager.
Red Devils manager Louis van Gaal is understood to be a big admirer of the 21-year-old, whom he managed during his most recent stint as Netherlands boss.
Marcel Brands is quoted by the Daily Star as saying: "There is serious interest [in Depay] from big clubs. We've had a phone call [from Manchester United] but there were no talks yet.
"If it comes to a deal, he must make the choice. Then it's up to us to come out with such a club."
Depay has also been linked with a move to Liverpool, but the Anfield outfit are not thought to be willing to meet PSV's reported asking price of £25m.
