Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino was apparently in the Netherlands this weekend to scout PSV Eindhoven star Memphis Depay.
The Dutch international was linked with both Spurs and Manchester United in the summer after impressing during cameo roles at the 2014 World Cup.
He has enhanced his reputation further with 18 goals in 22 appearances for PSV this season and interest in him is expected to intensify at the end of the campaign.
Spurs will reportedly revive their interest and The Mirror claims that Pochettino took advantage of having no FA Cup fixture this weekend to take a closer look at Depay in PSV's 4-2 Eredivisie win over AZ on Friday.
United boss Louis van Gaal has suggested that the 21-year-old should stay in Holland to continue his development, but Depay is believed to be ready for the Premier League and Spurs could make a £20m move.
