Crystal Palace have reportedly emerged as surprise contenders to sign Ajax defender Davinson Sanchez.
After an outstanding campaign with the Dutch giants and an impressive showing against Manchester United in the Europa League final, Sanchez is allegedly a target for both Chelsea and Barcelona.
United boss Jose Mourinho is also said to be an admirer of the Colombia international, but it appears that Palace are ready to try to pull off a shock coup.
According to Sport, Palace lead the race for the 21-year-old's signature and are willing to make an offer of £22m to try to push through the transfer.
New Eagles boss Frank de Boer enjoyed a successful period with Ajax earlier in his career, but he played no part in taking Sanchez to the Eredivisie side.
