Steve Nicol rubbishes Radamel Falcao to Liverpool link

Former Liverpool defender Steve Nicol believes that the Reds will not be signing Colombian striker Radamel Falcao this summer.

Former Liverpool defender Steve Nicol has expressed his belief that there is no chance of the club signing Radamel Falcao this summer.

The AS Monaco striker has spent the season on loan at Manchester United, where he has struggled to find his best form.

Reports have suggested that Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers will offer the Colombian international another chance in the Premier League next season, but Nicol does not believe that will happen.

He told talkSPORT: "I've always thought that anything I have read in the papers is probably absolute garbage and anybody who has seen Falcao play this year is not going to buy him. And Liverpool definitely ain't buying him."

Falcao has scored just four times for United this season.
