Manchester United have reportedly been handed a boost regarding their transfer business during the summer transfer window.
On the back of Sir Jim Ratcliffe becoming minority owner and leading footballing operations, United are expected to be busy from next month onwards.
The funds that they have at their disposal may be dependent on how they fare during the closing seven days of the season, where they face Arsenal, Man United and Brighton & Hove Albion.
United could require a positive return from those fixtures to secure European qualification through the Premier League, although they do have the opportunity to win the FA Cup as an alternative route.
As it stands, it appears likely that Erik ten Hag will be removed from his position as head coach courtesy of United failing to progress under his leadership.

Man United given encouragement in move for Dumfries
Nevertheless, the suggestion is that they will benefit in the race for a Dutch compatriot if he is to remain at the helm for a third campaign.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Denzel Dumfries is not as likely to extend his contract with Inter Milan as was perceived in the past.
The report suggests that contract negotiations have currently stalled, increasing the chances of a departure from San Siro before the start of 2024-25.
Dumfries's contract is due to expire in 2025 and the Italian giants are against risking the possibility of losing one of their most prized assets on a free transfer.

How has Dumfries performed at Inter?
When Inter won the race to sign the PSV Eindhoven man in 2021, it was felt that they had pulled off somewhat of a coup given the interest that was present from Premier League clubs.
Since then, Dumfries has delivered 10 goals and 20 assists from 130 appearances in a team that have won this season's Serie A title and reached the 2022-23 Champions League final.
While the right-sided defender, who can also play at wing-back, has recently turned 28 years of age, he will have plenty of admirers should it emerge that he could leave Inter.
From United's perspective, their recruitment team may deem that his age counts against him, plus it has been suggested that current right-back incumbent Diogo Dalot is one of a small selection of players who are not available for transfer.
Although a transfer fee has not been suggested, Dumfries has been valued in the region of £35m in the past, although that is an asking price that would likely be reduced if he enters the final 12 months of his contract.
