Napoli reportedly identify Bournemouth defender Nathan Ake as a potential replacement for Kalidou Koulibaly, who has been linked with Manchester United.

Bournemouth defender Nathan Ake has reportedly emerged as a potential transfer target for Napoli.

Having established himself as a key man at the Vitality Stadium, Ake has recently been linked with a switch back to former club Chelsea.

However, according to AreaNapoli, the Italian outfit are monitoring the situation as they consider possible replacements for Kalidou Koulibaly.

Manchester United are being tipped to reignite their interest in the 28-year-old, who may cost in the region of £85m.

That would provide Napoli with the funds to bring in Ake, as well as strengthen in other areas of the pitch after a poor domestic campaign.

Ake has just over two years remaining on his deal with the Cherries.
