Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has said that Manchester United could sell Wayne Rooney at the end of the season.
The Blues tried to sign the England international striker last summer, but failed in their attempt to convince the Red Devils to part with the 28-year-old.
"United were clear in the way they approached the Rooney situation," the Daily Mail quotes the Portuguese as saying.
"They don't swap. They don't sell. I don't see that changing, they were very clear about that.
"Will it be the same this summer? I think maybe this summer they will try to sell to a non-direct rival. But they were very clear, not to a domestic direct rival."
Chelsea will host United in the Premier League on Sunday.
