Manchester United are reportedly keen to bring Brighton & Hove Albion defender Tariq Lamptey to Old Trafford during this summer's transfer window.
The 21-year-old has impressed for the Seagulls since arriving from Chelsea in January 2020, and both Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are said to be keen on his signature.
Brighton boss Graham Potter has insisted that Lamptey will not be leaving this month, but the club could struggle to keep hold of the England Under-21s international this summer.
According to the Daily Mail, Man United have 'a strong interest' in the right-back, who is viewed by the club as an upgrade on both Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Diogo Dalot.
The report claims that Lamptey's ability to play as both a full-back and a wing-back makes him an attractive signing for the 20-time English champions.
Man United are said to be prepared to pay £30m for the defender, but Brighton are only willing to listen to offers of around £40m ahead of next season.
Lamptey has only made 13 appearances for the Seagulls during the 2021-22 campaign, having missed the start of the season through injury.
