Manchester United are reportedly not interested in signing AS Monaco's Fabinho in this summer's transfer window.
On Monday, it was claimed that the Red Devils were closing in on a move for the 23-year-old Brazilian, who played a key role in Monaco's Ligue 1 title success during the 2016-17 campaign.
However, according to the Manchester Evening News, Man United boss Jose Mourinho is 'not interested' in Fabinho, and will instead pursue a holding midfielder that can bring the best out of France international Paul Pogba.
The report claims that Fabinho was not on the four-man list that Mourinho submitted to the Man United board earlier this summer, although Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic remains a target for the Portuguese head coach.
At the weekend, Man United revealed that they had reached an agreement with Benfica for the signing of Swedish defender Victor Lindelof, who is expected to be confirmed as a Red Devils player before the end of the week.
