Manchester United are reportedly at the head of the queue for Dallas forward Ricardo Pepi.
The 18-year-old has been in impressive form for his MLS outfit during the current season, scoring 13 times and registering two assists in 30 appearances.
A host of clubs, including Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City, are believed to be interested in the teenager, who has also registered three goals in four appearances for the United States.
However, according to Il Resto del Carlino, Man United are 'above all' the competition, and the Red Devils have been scouting the youngster 'for some time'.
The report claims that the English club's interest in Pepi is a problem for Italian side Bologna, who had been looking to complete a deal during the January transfer window.
Pepi, who still has five years left to run on his contract with Dallas, has scored 16 times and registered four assists in 58 appearances for his current club in all competitions.
