Manchester United have reportedly sent scouts to watch Sassuolo midfielder Davide Frattesi.
Since joining Sassuolo in 2017, the 23-year-old has gone to make 49 appearances for the club, although he has also spent time out on loan at Ascoli, Empoli and Monza.
Frattesi has started all nine of Sassuolo's Serie A games this season, and he has registered three goals, including one in Saturday's 2-1 defeat to Inter Milan.
According to Calcio Mercato, Frattesi's progress is being monitored by United, who sent a scout to watch the player in the 5-0 victory over Salernitana on October 2.
The Reds Devils are expected to face competition if they are to sign the Italian, with Tottenham Hotspur, Brighton & Hove Albion and West Ham United all said to be interested.
Roma and AC Milan have also been linked with Frattesi, who has a contract with Sassuolo until June 2026.
