Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick reportedly remains in the dark over his future at Old Trafford.
The England international, who joined the Red Devils from Tottenham Hotspur 10 years ago, will come to the end of his current contract this summer.
There have been reports that United are considering sacking manager Louis van Gaal at the end of the season, suggesting that Carrick's future will not be resolved until a decision is made on that front.
According to the Daily Mail, Carrick wants to extend his stay at United, but the club's hierarchy have not yet contacted the midfielder about a renewal.
The report adds that the 34-year-old has attracted interest from MLS clubs in the United States, as well as Spanish outfits, but the player would prefer to stay in England.
Carrick has made 24 appearances in all competitions this season.
