Manchester United manager David Moyes has reportedly decided to try and sell Alexander Buttner when the transfer window opens in January.
The left-back has failed to impress the United boss since the Scot's arrival in the summer, and the defender will be allowed to talk to other clubs in the winter window, according to The People.
Moyes made a bid for Everton defender Leighton Baines in the summer, and the Scot is likely to return with another offer for his former player in the New Year, which would render Buttner surplus to requirements at Old Trafford.
The Dutchman only joined the champions in August 2012.
