Report: Manchester United keen on Torino and Ghana midfielder Afriyie Acquah

Torino and Ghana midfielder Afriyie Acquah emerges as a surprise target for Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho, according to reports.

Manchester United have been linked with a surprise move for Torino midfielder Afriyie Acquah, according to reports.

The 24-year-old has established himself as a key part of the Granata, making 31 appearances in all competitions last season while scoring three goals and assisting in five.

As a result, the Ghana international has attracted the attention of Jose Mourinho, according to the Gazzetta dello Sport, and could be signed for a relatively small figure of around £11m.

Acquah, who has spent time on loan at Sampdoria and Parma, has earned 18 caps for the Black Stars, scoring one goal, and featured for the West African nation at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
