The 23-year-old has been linked with a switch to Copa del Rey winners Barcelona. However, it is understood that the Red Devils are back in the running to sign the defender.

It is believed that Sir Alex Ferguson is considering Alba as a potential replacement for Patrice Evra, if the Frenchman decides to leave Old Trafford this summer, according to The Express.
