Alaves win the race to sign Manchester United attacker Facundo Pellistri on loan for the rest of the season, according to a report.

Manchester United have reportedly reached an agreement with Alaves for Facundo Pellistri to spend the remainder of the 2020-21 campaign on loan with the La Liga outfit.

Club Brugge had emerged as suitors for the 19-year-old, who is yet to make his first-team debut for United since arriving from Penarol last summer.

However, Pellistri is said to have favoured a switch to Spain, with Alaves recently named as the favourites to sign the Uruguayan on a six-month loan deal.

According to the Manchester Evening News, a deal has now been agreed with the La Liga club, and the teenager will travel to Spain over the weekend to finalise a move.

Pellistri has scored three times at Under-21s and Under-23s level for United but has recently been unavailable for selection due to a positive coronavirus test.

Alaves currently sit 18th in the La Liga table ahead of this weekend's clash with Getafe.
