Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho wants to bring two new players to Old Trafford in January, according to a report.

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho reportedly wants to bring two new players to Old Trafford when the winter transfer window opens for business.

Mourinho was desperate to bring a new central defender to United during the summer, but the club are believed to have refused to sanction a move due to a perceived lack of value in the market.

Earlier this week, it was claimed that Mourinho has £100m to spend in January and is determined to bring in a new centre-back to ease his team's defensive problems.

However, according to Manchester Evening News, the United boss is also determined to sign a new forward, with Romelu Lukaku currently on a run of nine games without a goal for his club.

United will look to make it back-to-back Premier League wins when they travel to in-form Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon.
