Manchester United will reportedly target Monaco's Aurelien Tchouameni during next summer's transfer window if Paul Pogba leaves the club on a free transfer.
Pogba has still not signed a new deal at Old Trafford, and the midfielder's agent Mino Raiola has allegedly offered the France international to Barcelona, while Real Madrid, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain are all said to be interested in signing the World Cup winner if he refuses to pen an extension in Manchester.
Tchouameni's future remains the subject of much speculation, with Real Madrid, Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City all said to be interested in his services.
According to ESPN, Man United view the Frenchman as the ideal replacement for Pogba, should the 28-year-old decide to seek pastures new next year.
The report claims that a fee between €50m (£42.2m) and €60m (£50.6m) would be required to convince Monaco to sell Tchouameni ahead of the 2022-23 campaign.
The 21-year-old, who has recently become a key player for his country, has scored twice in 15 appearances for his Ligue 1 club during the current season.
