Manchester United reportedly hope to boost their chances of signing Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar by including Chris Smalling in part-exchange.
The England international has spent the campaign on loan at Roma, making a total of 37 appearances in all competitions.
Despite I Giallorossi being keen to sign the 30-year-old on a permanent deal, United are allegedly not budging on their £18m valuation.
According to Calciomercato, the Premier League giants intend to use the out-of-favour centre-back in an approach to sign Skriniar.
The report adds that United will look to reduce their financial outlay further by adding Alexis Sanchez to the proposal.
While Skriniar is a key man at San Siro, Inter may jump at the opportunity to strengthen their squad and generate more transfer funds.
