Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is likely to reignite his interest in Inter Milan's Wesley Sneijder in the summer.
Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala are favourites to land the Dutch playmaker because of their willingness to meet the Nerazzurri's reported £40m asking price.
However, after failing in his attempt to sign Sneijder last summer, Ferguson is considering another move for the 27-year-old at the end of the season, according to the Daily Star.
Any deal to bring Sneijder to Old Trafford would almost certainly break the club's all-time transfer record, which currently stands at £30.7m for the 2008 acquisition of Dimitar Berbatov from Tottenham Hotspur.
