Manchester United will move for Juventus attacker Douglas Costa in the January transfer window, according to a report.

Manchester United will reportedly move for Juventus attacker Douglas Costa in the January transfer window.

Costa only joined Juventus on a permanent deal from Bayern Munich during the summer, but the Brazil international has struggled for starts during the 2018-19 campaign.

"Now they have money! They are trying to buy Douglas Costa from Juve and one centre-back," The Sun quotes a source close to Jose Mourinho as saying.

Mourinho was sacked as United boss on Tuesday morning, but it is being reported that the Red Devils are still planning on moving for a new centre-back in January, while they also want to bring to Costa to Old Trafford.

The 28-year-old has two assists in 15 appearances for Juventus in all competitions this season.

United are said to be on the verge of announcing Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as their new head coach until the end of the 2018-19 campaign.
